Ayer Falls (Bailey’s Ravine) - CT (Waterfall/Trail)

-Approx 284 Pond Road, North Franklin, Connecticut
-visited June 2017
- .2 miles each way (or can do a 1.6 mile loop)
-easy (or moderate)
-no bathroom
-nearby: Westfield Falls, Wadsworth Big and Little Falls, Tartia-Engel Falls, Blackledge Falls
-notes:
     -small paved parking shoulder, free, has a sign that is half destroyed/hard to read
     -park on the side of Pond Street, then walk down Pond Street and turn left onto Ayer Road. Falls is roadside on Ayer Road
     -ok in low water
     -has multi-tiers
     -some bugs
     -can walk a trail through the forest, which is supposed to give you additional cascade views, trail starts at parking area
     -falls are mainly shaded, but the road is all sun
     -debris is beginning to accumulate in parts of the falls (minimal at this point)
     -some stepping required, hill isn’t overly steep, has some rocks and roots
     -trail by falls is unmarked
