-Approx 598 Wigwam Road, Berlin, Connecticut
-visited June 2017
-5.5 mile loop (has varying trail options so can be shorter)
-easy side of moderate
-no bathrooms
-nearby: (Ragged Mountain Cascade), Roaring Brook Falls
-notes:
-big dirt parking shoulder on the side of the road marked by a sign, free
-has a multitude of trails with varying length, quality and strenuousness
-trails are well marked, intersections have "you are here" signs
-some portions are level and flat, some have slight incline with some stepping, others have areas of steep incline
-minimal roots but has a lot of rock, stone, and loose pebbles; rocks are small and require no stepping for the most part
-only stepping is really on the steeper inclines
-mountain offers a nice 180 degree view at only 761 foot summit elevation, overlooks lakes and valley
-trail is half shade half sun, summit is all sun with no shade
-summit is a series of cliffs (people rock climb them), which are sheer drops, minimal trees blocking view, has some views on the way to the summit
-trails not by/to the summit have some small hills but inclines are minimal, trail to summit can be steep
-has some bugs (some areas are bad, others no bugs)
-has a waterfall, VERY water dependent
-dog friendly
