Beecher and Pearl Cascades – NH (Waterfalls)

-Crawford Notch Depot (or AMC Highland Center), Bethlehem, New Hampshire
-visited June 2018
-.5 each way
-easy
-bathrooms at Depot
-nearby: Arethusa Falls, Ripley Falls, Gibbs Falls
-notes:
-AMC center is giant dirt parking lot, Crawford Depot is small paved lot, both free
-has tables you can sit at at depot if you want to have lunch before or after
-trail begins behind the depot. Be careful, is an active railroad bed
-trail is fairly flat with minimal stepping, has roots and small rocks
-trail can be confusing. Not well labeled
-trails and falls are mainly shaded
-falls are ok in low water but really need more water for decency. Beecher Falls seems to have a constant flow so it looks decent in low water, but Pearl Cascade seems to almost dry up, and can be harder to get to.
-view of falls can be difficult and are obstructed by trees and rocks
     -has debris in the falls
-waterfalls themselves are labeled with small white signs
     -has lady slippers along trail
     -has bugs
     -can bring dogs
