-1 Coppermine Road,
Franconia, New Hampshire
-visited June 2018
-2.5 miles each way
-easy
-no bathroom
-nearby: Georgianna Falls,
Franconia Falls, Lower Falls
-notes:
-small dirt shoulder on the side of the road
at very beginning of the road, free
-trail begins by walking a dirt road that
is for local traffic only, then trail into woods begins
-trail fluctuates between flat, no
stepping and no incline to lots of rocks and roots, some incline and some
stepping
-have to cross the river/stream a few
times along the trail
-trail is well marked and easy to follow,
has signs guiding to falls
-has a little shelter center right before
the falls
-trail and falls are shaded
-better views of the falls can be harder
to access, have to climb up/scale rocks to do it, some of the rocks are very
slick and covered in moss
-falls is multi tier, can’t get a good
full view of falls, have to get different elevation points to see the different
portions of it
-no debris in falls
-ok in low water, would be more impressive
with more water
-some bugs
-can bring dogs
