-4 Woodland Road, Stoneham Massachusetts or 67 S Border Road, Medford Massachusetts
-visited July 2013, September 2016
-varying lengths depending on where park and trails taken, 1-8 miles
-easy
-no bathrooms
-notes:
-multiple parking areas all paved, some are free some are paid
-Woodland Road starts at the Sheepfold landing, which begins as a wide open field that allows dogs to run free unleashed
-S Border Road starts at Bellevue landing, and begins with a lake (which was dried up) and trails
-has a ton of different trails, some more well marked than others, helps to have a map
-have access to the water reservoir but no swimming allowed
-bugs aren't too bad
-trails vary in quality. All have some roots. Some are completely flat trails with no stepping. Some has some small hills/inclines, but nothing too strenuous. Others have a lot of stones that require a little bit of stepping but isn't continuous. At this point the trails arent eroded so they are in good quality.
-the trails marked as "roads" on the map are completely flat and are made of compact dirt and small stones. They feature some small inclines. These are the easiest trails to do.
-good easy walk through the woods, but unless you visit the towers there are no views
- the towers are made of stone and are neat to check out, some of them are closed off due to vandalism though, but the ones that are still open get you just high enough to get a little bit of a view
-there are a few picnic tables at each of the landings if you want to stop and have a break and eat some lunch
-trails are half shade half sun, so maybe wear sunscreen
-dog friendly
