Mount Garfield - NH (Mountain)

-Gale River Road (first lot), Franconia, New Hampshire
-visited June 2016
-4.8 miles each way
-easy to easy side of moderate
-no bathrooms
-nearby: Mount Galehead, North Twin Mountain, South Twin Mountain, Mount Zealand, Mount Hale, Mount Lafayette/Lincoln/Little Haystack/Falling Waters Falls, Basin Cascade, Mount Cannon
-notes:
     -dirt parking lot, free
-road off highway to parking lot is dirt, pretty solid, not well marked and splits a few times. Garfield parking lot is first lot after a sharp turn in the road. If continue down road there is a second parking lot which is for Mount Galehead.
-has a river that is very scenic along trail
-quality of trail varies, some is flat, some has a lot of roots, some has some rock/stepping, then the end is all rock and stepping and is steep.
-the incline grade of the majority of the walk isnt bad, it is an incline but isnt too steep. The end of the trail (last half mile) gets steep though.
-summit has a nice 360 degree view and the remnants of a foundation  of a building
-majority of the walk is shaded, but summit just clears tree line so it has no trees or cover and is all sun.
