Mount Tom - MA (Mountain)

-125 Reservation Road, Holyoke, Massachusetts
-visited May 2013, October 2015, July 2016
-varying length depending on trail and parking lot, 1-6 miles per trail
-moderately easy (depending on trail, some are easy, while others are the easy side of moderate)
-real bathrooms at the first parking lot only
-nearby: Mount Holyoke, Mount Hitchcock
-notes:
-paved parking lots, pay to park
-park in the first lot if want a woodsy walk, park in the third lot and take the M&M trail if want a cliff/view walk
-woodsy walk has orange salamanders but also has a ton of bugs during the summer, so wear bug spray
-cliff walk has minimal bugs but has a lot of sun so wear sunscreen. There is minimal shade/cover
-cliff walk has steep plummeting drops with no guards so use caution not to fall
-has some steep inclines to get up to cliffs and a lot of stepping, but is easy as far as mountains go. During climb there are break points where the incline levels out to give you a breather.
-good open 180 degree view along the entire cliff
-is pretty when the leaves are changing
-can sometimes catch people paragliding off the top of the mountain
     -is dog friendly
